Hours:
- Late Shift: 1:30pm to 10:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
- Friday: 11:00am to 5:00pm
We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to join a renowned aerospace manufacturing company. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement in production processes.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Production Team Leader or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of 5-6 Assembly Technicians.
- Extensive experience within the aerospace manufacturing sector.
- Knowledgeable about aerospace standards and compliance.
- Comfortable in a role that involves 80% hands-on electro-mechanical tasks and 20% administrative work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team to achieve production targets and cell objectives.
- Track and report on production performance using QCD metrics (Quality, Cost, Delivery).
- Quickly identify and escalate manufacturing performance issues to the Cell Leader.
- Promote a strong quality-driven culture, ensuring adherence to product standards and accurate documentation.
- Supervise a team of 5-6 production technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee training initiatives, maintain skills matrices, and offer feedback on staff progress.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Cell Leader on updates to manufacturing processes, batch travelers, or drawings.
- Expedite materials and ensure proper system updates.
- Minimize material rework and implement robust product quality monitoring processes.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure team paperwork is completed correctly.
- Approve holidays and absences in alignment with the Cell Leader.
Requirements:
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must:
- Be eligible for BPSS Clearance.
- Provide a 3-year employment history.
- Undergo a CRB Check and Address Verification.
