Milk Education are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and creative Nursery Assistant, able to both care for and support children in an Early Years provision in South Tyneside.
The successful Nursery Assistant will be a good team player and have the ability to develop positive behaviour strategies with children, plus have a good understanding of child development and early language acquisition.
The candidate must be willing to work within a research led, reflective nursery provision with children at the heart of the practice, the role will include intimate care of children in the nursery provision.
Nursery Assistant requirements:
- Experience of working within a primary school or a nursery setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Personal/voluntary experience in childcare
- Be passionate about and have experience in SEND
Roles and responsibilities:
· Planning educational activities
· Taking care of children’s personal needs
· Supervising children and ensuring their safety
· Keeping records up to date
· Nurturing child development through early childhood education
