Sunderland Care and Support is a local authority trading company owned by Sunderland City Council, which provides a wide range of services to support vulnerable adults and children to lead the lives they choose. It provides support to people when they are discharged from hospital, helps people to remain independent and helps to identify any on-going needs.
We are currently looking to recruit in the following area:


As an Equipment Officer, you will support the business in delivering and demonstrating pieces of equipment to assessed customers, as well as assisting to carry out repairs when necessary and collect equipment when it is no longer needed. Predominantly the post holder will work a rota pattern where you will work 1 weekend in 4. A willingness to drive vans is essential. The post will be based at ILC/Leechmere Centre.

For this role it is essential that you have the following skills and attributes:

? The ability to work under pressure
?Full driving licence
?A positive caring outlook and enabling attitude
?Good IT and typing skills
?Have excellent written and communication skills
?Enjoy a challenge and be flexible in your approach to work

All CVs should be supported by two satisfactory references, right to work ID and a full driving licence. Please note an enhanced DBS will be required for the role but any successful candidates without a current active DBS will be able to start work in the service whilst making their application for a DBS.
