Azure Data Engineer - Databricks - Sunderland - £65,000

I am looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a leading North-East based organisation to work on the development of the Azure Data Platform. You will join an established engineering team and be responsible for the ongoing architecture or the data platform as well as the migration of data between different sources.

This forward-thinking business are working with cutting edge Azure technologies and will give you the opportunity to further expand your skill further. They are looking to continue to invest into the technology departments which includes training and certifications for its growing team.

This is an exciting time to join a growing and successful business where you can leverage your experience further. This is a hybrid position, working from the organisations office in Sunderland on a weekly basis. This is a full-time permanent position, offering a starting salary of up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience.

Some of the responsibilities in the role includes

  • Take responsibility for the design and architecture of the Azure Data Platform
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure high quality data is available for analysis
  • Manage the integration of data solutions
  • Cleansing and manipulate data ready for data analysis tasks

To be successful in the role you will have.

  • Strong experience in a Data Engineering capacity working with SQL Server and Azure
  • Databricks experience
  • Experience working with Python/Spark/PySpark
  • Experience creating data pipelines with Azure Data Factory
