Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people? Staffpower Healthcare are recruiting on behalf of there, client and are looking for a Registered Manager in Sunderland to make a lasting impact this is will be working in brand new Childrens home due to open in the Sunderland area.

This role is unique. You will manage a residential home while also being part of a one-of-a-kind joint venture with Sunderland Council. In this role, youll collaborate closely with the Responsible Individual, Senior Management Team, and key stakeholders within the local authority to meet their needs as partners. This innovative arrangement offers an unparalleled level of partnership work, unlike typical Registered Manager roles.

As a Childrens Registered Manager you will:

Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.

Develop a great team: Working with the recruitment teams support, bring in the right people for your home. Complete company induction and personal development plans, retaining a strong team to ensure familiar faces for the young people.

Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.

Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their childcare plan.

Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Homes Statement of Purpose.

Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns.

Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.

Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to child care planning and review meetings as appropriate.

Embrace a safe culture: Ensure the children in your service are cared for at the best possible standard.

Essential Requirements and Experience

Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to Childrens residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.

Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.

Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.

Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.

Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
