Responsibilities:

As a CAD Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Engineering Department, focusing on electrical requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing 2D electrical schematics and interconnection drawings for LV Distribution and Control
  • Interpreting customer requirements and technical specifications
  • Creating LV Electrical front-of-panel layout drawings and control schematics
  • Collaborating with workshop staff to streamline electrical equipment design and build processes
  • Utilising database and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Working independently to create detailed electrical drawings, manufacturing packages, and parts lists

To be successful in this role it is beneficial, but not essential, that you have most of the following:

  • Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD
  • Experience in electrical control panel design for industrial equipment
  • Excellent database and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and create detailed electrical drawings with manufacturing packages and parts lists
  • Strong communication skills and ability to discuss drawings and technical details
  • ONC or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience in using Solidworks for CAD design
  • Knowledge of production engineering practice
