Job Title: ACT Pharmacy Technician (Accuracy Checking)

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and qualified ACT Pharmacy Technician to join our clients outpatient pharmacy team at a well-established NHS Hospital local to Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced NHS candidates and newly registered ACT Pharmacy Technicians looking to make a difference in patient care, particularly in accuracy checking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accuracy checking of dispensed prescriptions within the outpatient pharmacy setting.
- Ensure medications are dispensed correctly and meet NHS standards.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Assist with stock management and other pharmacy-related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Must be a qualified ACT Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience: NHS hospital experience is not required. Community Pharmacy experience and newly registered ACTs are welcome.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accuracy checks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and team-working skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Part-time applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week, including Fridays.
Hourly Rate:
- £17 - £25 per hour (paid via umbrella company)
Contract Duration:
- Immediate start, with a minimum commitment of 6 months minimum.
