Cover Supervisor
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £95 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are currently looking for a motivated Cover Supervisor to join a fantastic school in Sunderland. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and help maintain continuity in the classroom.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering lessons to pupils in the absence of the regular teacher. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience working with young people, are looking to start a career in teaching, or enjoy supporting students' academic development.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students across various subjects.
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
Support students with any questions or concerns during lessons.
Report pupil progress and behaviour to the teaching staff.
Ensure health and safety standards are upheld during lessons.
Follow the school’s behaviour policies and ensure safeguarding standards are met.

To be a successful Cover Supervisor, you need:

Previous experience in a school or educational setting is beneficial.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to work independently and be flexible in your approach.
Passion for education and working with young people.
Availability to start immediately.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one.)
