E&I Technician - Tyne & Wear - 35k-40k

Adepto are currently recruiting for a E&I Technician role with a Chemical processing in the Tyne & Wear area. This role is an excellent opportunity for a technician to gain top tier COMAH experience and fully understand the workings on a highly regulated site. The client can provide onsite training within the maintenance team and provide external certification including ATEX and COMPEX.

The role is a full -time day shift position within an experience electrical team who are responsible for installation, inspection, maintenance and repairs on site.


Responsibilities

  • Completion of daily work to suitable standards using CMMS job sheets for routine maintenance, calibration and testing of the site equipment
  • Responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of all relevant electrical equipment and instrumentation
  • Ensure that appropriate repairs and routine maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken
  • Ensure that all equipment defects and alarms are reported and that they are appropriately handled ensuring unsafe all items are suitably isolated and communicated
  • Follow permit to work procedures ensuring that all tasks to be performed are covered by a permit, the permit is correctly approved and that all hazards are understood and isolations are suitably made prior to starting work

You must have an electrical or instrumentation technician background with 18th edition wiring regulations.
