Role OverviewAs an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) in Urgent Treatment Centres, you will play a key role in enhancing the capacity and capability of multi-professional teams. This is a dynamic, patient-focused position involving the assessment of health and clinical needs for a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive consultations, including taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, and using advanced clinical judgment to diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge patients.
- Prescribe medications or refer to primary/secondary care specialists following local protocols and pathways.
- Provide clinical mentorship and advice to junior staff members, supporting their development.
- Work autonomously to manage urgent care cases in alignment with local and national guidelines.
- Service Area: Urgent Care / Out-of-Hours (OOH)
- System Used: Adastra
- Shifts: Weekdays, evenings, overnight, weekends, and bank holidays
- Locations Sunderland, South Tyneside
- Patient Referrals: NHS 111, GP surgeries, A&E departments
- Rates: £40-£50 per hour (dependent on experience and location)
