South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust have duties are available across the Theatre Departments at both Sunderland Royal Hospital and South Tyneside District Hospital, we provide anaesthetics to a wide variety of specialities. The flexible NHSP worker will be expected to utilise skills and knowledge to support anaesthetic practice in an operating department environment, which may involve procedures performed on both adult and paediatric patients under general, regional and local anaesthetic.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • HCPC Registration
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital or community health care setting
  • Ability to assist patients to move as per Trust moving & handling policy

What you will be responsible for:

  • The assessment of care needs, planning, delivering and evaluatin a high standard of nursing care
  • You will be an accomplished communicator who contributes, implements and evaluates clinical and professional standards
  • The proficient delivery of care to patients
  • Ensuring safe administration and documentation of drugs in accordance with HCPC guidelines and trust policies
  • Ensuring accurate records are kept in accordance with HCP guidelines and trust policies
  • Contributing to the safe and efficient running the operating theatre department, through acceptance of agreed responsibility
  • Being an effective member of a Multidisciplinary team

The role will involve but is not limited to the above.
