CK Group are recruiting for a Production Scientist, on behalf of a medical diagnostic company. This role will be based at their site in Sunderland and is a permanent role, with Mon-Fri day time working hours.


The Role:

Your main responsibility will be to assist in the manufacture and packaging of components, for use in Electrophoresis and Haemostasis kits, and to help with the day to day running of the departments.

You will also assist in planning the associated paperwork, and the continuous improvement of production practices and introduction of new methods.


Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of the Biologicals Department.
  • Production Planning.
  • Assist in the manufacture of antisera, buffers etc.
  • Writing and review of Production Documentation and Procedures.
  • Stock Control.
  • Training of staff.
  • To work in accordance with Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines.

Essential Skills:
  • BSc Level education in a scientific subject.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A flexible approach to work / willingness to help in other areas as required.
  • Working to GMP guidelines.
  • Adherence to the requirements of ISO13485.
  • Adherence to Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
  • Ability to plan the workload for yourself and others.
  • A good understanding of electrophoresis.
