About the role:

Our client in Sunderland is recruiting for a Risk and Assurance Advisor to join their Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team.In this key role you will support the Risk and Continuity Manager and the Head of Safety, Risk and Assurance to ensure the Group has effective arrangements for risk, assurance, business continuity and incident management. This role will provide risk, assurance and business continuity advice to all colleagues in the group; support the development and implementation of their risk and assurance frameworks; and develop and implement arrangements for business continuity and major incident management.

Qualifications and Training:

Essential:

• Institute of Risk Management Certificate in Risk Management

Desirable:

• Chartered Business Continuity Institute Certification.

• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.

Skills and Knowledge

• Have an excellent understanding of risk management, assurance and business continuity methodologies, standards and approaches.

• Excellent literacy and report writing skills.

• Excellent IT skills including the knowledge of risk management.

• Ability to analyse, assess and communicate risk data in a way that the organisation can understand.

Experience

• Demonstratable experience of working in a business risk management environment.
