The School and Role

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated part-Time Teaching Assistant to join a lovely school in Sunderland. In this role, you will provide essential classroom support in a year 1 class, with a focus on delivering phonics interventions leading up to the Phonics check. Experience with the ‘Little Wandle’ phonics scheme is highly desirable. The school offers a committed team dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential.

Requirements:

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working within primary aged children.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience of working with pupils with low attainment.
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
