Job Overview

Be part of a dynamic and safety-conscious team! We are seeking a proactiveHSE(Health, Safety, and Environmental)Advisorto oversee and enhance workplace safety in ourprint productionfacilities based at our Paragon Sunderland site.

You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance withhealth, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a strong safety culture, and mitigating risks associated with printing operations, includingmachinery, chemical handling, and workplace ergonomics.

35 Hours per week: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • HSECompliance & Policy Implementation:Ensure adherence toOSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevantHSEregulations.
  • Risk Assessments & Audits:Conductsite inspections, risk assessments, and safety auditsto identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Incident Investigation & Reporting:Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and preventative actions are taken.
  • Training & Awareness:Develop and deliverHSEtraining programsfor staff, covering topics like chemical safety, manual handling, and fire prevention.
  • Emergency Preparedness:Establish and maintainemergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid readiness.
  • Environmental Compliance:Monitor waste management, air quality, and hazardous material handling in accordance withenvironmental standards.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:Work with production teams to integrateHSEbest practicesinto daily operations and drive asafety-first culture.

Skills and Attributes we are looking for

  • HSEQualification(NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
  • Experience in the print production or manufacturing industryis desirable
  • Strong knowledge ofmachinery safety, chemical handling, and PPE requirements
  • Proven ability to conductrisk assessments and safety training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with employees at all levels
  • Knowledge ofISO standards and environmental management systems
