Our client, an esteemed educational organisation, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as an IT Technician. ?? They are open to considering candidates on a straight permanent, or temporary to permanent contract basis. However, the role is urgent, so it is essential that you are available to start work immediately or with a short, 1-2 week notice period. Previous experience of working within a similar role is essential.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong IT skills, be self-motivated, and be passionate about improving the educational experience for students. You'll contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. ??

Responsibilities

  • Deliver first-line ICT support to staff and students within the academy.
  • Assist with maintaining ICT rooms and equipment, ensuring up-to-date software and hardware inventories.
  • Manage your workload efficiently by handling requests through the Helpdesk.
  • Provide general technical support to the ICT department.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new and existing software.
  • Develop systems to monitor and record ICT usage.
  • Offer technical support for staff presentations and school events.
  • Commission, maintain, test, and repair electronic/computer systems, peripherals, and AV equipment, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Assist Managers with Portable Appliance Testing, following Health and Safety legislation.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, accessing learning opportunities and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures at all times.
