Velocity UK is urgently seeking an Electrical Fitter with Mechanical knowledge to join their expanding workshop team focused on Road Repair machines.
The ideal candidate should have experience with hand tools and power tools, specifically in assembling and installing electrical systems on plant vehicles.
Candidates must possess strong engineering skills, including Safety Procedures, Mechanical Fitting, Electrical Fitting, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Fault Finding.
A key requirement is the ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and engineering drawings, as the role involves working unsupervised on 12v and 24v electrical systems.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 07.00 to 16.00 and Friday from 07.00 to 14.00, with a competitive salary offered based on experience.

Velocity Uk are urgently looking for an Electrical Fitter with Mechanical knowledge to join their expanding workshop team working on their Road Repair machines. Working as a key member of a small team the ideal candidate will have experience working with hand tools and power tools to assemble and install electrical systems and assemblies on plant vehicles.

You must be able to demonstrate good all-round engineering skills - Key skill areas we look for are working to Safety Procedures, Mechanical Fitting, Electrical Fitting, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Working at Height, Servicing of plant machinery, and Fault Finding.

It is vital that you have the ability to read and understand wiring diagrams / schematics / Engineering Drawings as you will work unsupervised on the installation and commissioning of 12v and 24v electrical systems once you have an understanding of what is required.

Working hours are 07.00 – 16.00 Monday to Thursday and 07.00 – 14.00 on a Friday.
