Our public sector client based in Sunderland has an exciting opportunity for a Waste Education Officer to join their team as soon as possible!
The role will be temporary and is looking to start as soon as possible, lasting until August 2025 initially.
The hours of work will be Tuesday to Friday, 07:30-17:15 for a total of 37 hours per week and there will be the opportunity to work flexibly across the working day.
The pay rate for the role is £13.26 per hour.
The City of Sunderland is currently going through a transformation program to deliver it's 2030 city plan, to create smarter, cleaner, greener, and more attractive city, and you could be part of this. As a Waste Education Officer, you will play an integral role in supporting the daily operations of Environmental Services, promoting the council' refuse and recycling service.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, with strong organizational skills along with the ability to multi-task and provide a high level of customer care and act as a representative for the service, individually and as part of a team. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently will be essential to succeed in this role.
You will be required to maintain a high level of accuracy, whilst meeting tight deadlines and have the proven ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume environment.
Applicants must be willing to work outdoors as the job may sometimes be physically demanding and should also hold a full UK driving license. Based out of the office in Sunderland, you will be provided with a council vehicle and deployed in areas across the city.
It is essential that you have knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of CRM systems would also be advantageous.
