Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Training + BenefitsWe have an exciting opportunity for a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join a busy and established UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy who have a laboratory in the North East. You will be joining a successful and forward-thinking company with a longstanding team of employees. Working in a busy laboratory, you will be carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy in line with HSG 248 guidelines. For the successful candidate, our client can offer private medical care, opportunities for career progression and enrolment onto the company pension scheme. Consideration will be given to candidates from: South Shields, Tynemouth, Newcastle upon Tyne, Morpeth, Ashington, Gateshead, Consett, Hexham, Durham, Peterlee, Barnard Castle, Middlesbrough, Darlington. Experience & Qualifications: " Must hold the BOHS P401. " Experience working for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy, working with a busy laboratory. " Excellent observation skills, keen eye for detail. " Excellent IT skills. " Able to work independently and as a team. " Well versed in HSG 248 Guidelines. " Able to prioritise workload in line with company and client needs. The Role:" Efficiently logging all asbestos samples onto internal systems upon arrival, ensuring to store safely & correctly. " Preparing samples for analysis. " Undertaking sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy. " Carrying out analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines. " Ensuring to calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy. " Maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation. " Ensuring the laboratory is following safe working practices. " Completing job sheets upon completing sample analysis. " Providing clients with technical advice and support when required.
