Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst. Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Training + BenefitsWe have an exciting opportunity for a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join a busy and established UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy who have a laboratory in the North East. You will be joining a successful and forward-thinking company with a longstanding team of employees. Working in a busy laboratory, you will be carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy in line with HSG 248 guidelines. Consideration will be given to candidates from: South Shields, Tynemouth, Newcastle upon Tyne, Morpeth, Ashington, Gateshead, Consett, Hexham, Durham, Peterlee, Barnard Castle, Middlesbrough, Darlington. Experience & Qualifications: " Must hold the BOHS P401. " Experience working for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy, working with a busy laboratory. " Excellent observation skills, keen eye for detail. " Excellent IT skills. " Able to work independently and as a team. " Well versed in HSG 248 Guidelines. " Able to prioritise workload in line with company and client needs. The Role:" Efficiently logging all asbestos samples onto internal systems upon arrival, ensuring to store safely & correctly. " Preparing samples for analysis. " Undertaking sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy. " Carrying out analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines. " Ensuring to calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy. " Maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation. " Ensuring the laboratory is following safe working practices. " Completing job sheets upon completing sample analysis. " Providing clients with technical advice and support when required.
