Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 


Location: Sunderland

Hours - 38 hours - Monday to Thursday 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and Friday 8.30 am to 2.30pm.

Our client is an established, specialist design & manufacturer of products for the domestic and commercial market with an extensive and varied product range.

They are looking to hire a new Electronics Design Engineer into the team.

This role will provide an opportunity to work in an innovative R&D team contributing towards the development of new world class products.


Skills & Requirements of an Electronics Engineer

  • Degree or similar qualification in Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Highly proficient in the use PCB design software such as Pulsonix, Altium or similar.
  • Have an excellent understanding of manufacturing processes relating to PCB’s.
  • Being able to manage multiple projects successfully.
  • Ability to see an idea through from inception to fully validated/tested and into production
  • A creative approach and an innovative mindset with the ability to come up with new ideas and improvements for existing processes, products, or designs
     

Main Responsibilities of an Electronics Engineer

  • Developing electronic elements for new products as well as improvements to existing products.
  • Producing PCB designs in Pulsonix/Altium (or similar) software, developing coding and software.
  • Managing PCB and electronics within products and projects from cradle to grave through a milestone/stage-gate process.
  • Researching new technologies and applications.
  • Producing working prototypes of designs.
  • Testing and verification of prototypes, samples and production parts.
  • Producing Bill of Materials, Gerber files and other production documentation.
