Mechanical Engineer - Energy and Utilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team within the energy and utilities sector. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a passion for engineering innovative solutions to improve energy efficiency and utility performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Design and Development:**

- Develop detailed mechanical designs for energy and utility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and power generation equipment.

- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and refine engineering drawings and schematics.

2. **Project Engineering:**

- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical engineering projects.

- Work closely with project managers, other engineers, and contractors to ensure project goals are achieved.

3. **System Analysis and Optimization:**

- Conduct analysis of mechanical systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

- Implement energy-efficient solutions and technologies to enhance system performance.

4. **Technical Support:**

- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and develop effective solutions.

5. **Regulatory Compliance:**

- Ensure all mechanical engineering work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

- Prepare and review technical documentation for regulatory submissions and approvals.

6. **Testing and Commissioning:**

- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and start-up of mechanical systems.

- Verify system functionality and performance, ensuring compliance with design specifications.

7. **Documentation and Reporting:**

- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.

- Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in the energy and utilities sector.

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
