Tooling Engineer

If you are a talented tooling engineer or toolmaker, we're currently on the lookout for a Tooling Engineer to join our client's team.

As a Tooling Engineer,you will be responsiblefor the checking, repairing and servicing of all assembly and press tooling equipment to ensure that machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably.

Duties:

  • Leading the repair and maintenance of all assembly and press tooling equipment in a timely manner
  • Effective diagnosis and timely repair of equipment to maximise machine availability
  • Perform scheduled and planned maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Leads in geometry improvement activities from technical understanding.
  • Adhering to quality standards and requirements, including all QMS related items.
  • Supporting and championing the intervention process and escalation procedure.
  • Adhering to all legal and safety requirements including; PUWER power press regulations, lifting and slinging
  • Supporting the procurement and management of spare parts and tools required.
  • Adhering to and entry of RPO and MTTR data (documentation of jobs/hours completed through electronic reporting methods)
  • Supporting the development of engineering apprentices through knowledge and skill sharing.
  • The completion of housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness within own and related areas
  • Working to the companies' code of conduct, policies and procedures
  • Leading planned maintenance activities, including technical improvement activities.
