SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR

Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Pay: £13 an hour

Location: Sunderland

Temporary role to start as soon as possible

This is a fantastic opportunity for a School Administrator to support a Sunderland Primary School on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support
  • Data entry
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence - phone and email
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and databases
  • Handle routine clerical tasks such as photocopying and filing,
  • Diary management and scheduling of appointments
  • Distribution of communication, newsletters and notices to parents as directed
  • Assist in the organisation of events, trips and activities
  • First day absence calls and preparation of attendance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.

Essential experience:

  • Proven experience in a school or educational setting
  • Familiarity with school-specific software (e.g., M.I.S / Bromcom)
  • A strong understanding of Safeguarding within a school setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a busy school environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and school management software
