Payroll OfficerNigel Wright are proudly working alongside a Sunderland based organisation, seeking a part time Payroll Officer to join their team on a 10-month contract. This is a pivotal role in the day to day running of payroll and solving of queries, reporting to the Finance Manager. The RoleThe main duties and responsibilities for this role are: 
  • Preparation and processing of accurate and timely monthly and annual payroll and pension information (new starters, changes, leavers, timesheets, maternity, paternity, sickness, expenses and pay awards)
  • Communicate effectively with the outsourced payroll provider
  • Be the main point of contact for the outsourced payroll provider, co-ordinate and process payroll information in line with monthly deadlines and answering queries from the outsourced payroll provider. 
  • Payslips, P45s and P60s.
  • Maintain strong payroll records for audit.
  • Ensure the integrity of the payroll system. 
  • Adhoc payroll duties as requested
The CandidateIdeally, the successful candidate will have: 
  • Payroll qualification (CIPP, or working towards) 
  • Proven payroll/HR experience (2 years +)
  • Excellent organisation skills 
  • Analytical and enthusiastic approach to work
