We are seeking an experienced and skilled plasterer to join our team working on a social housing contract in Sunderland. As a plasterer on this project, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plastering work across domestic properties, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and professional finish.
- Carry out repairs to existing plastering work, including patching and skimming.
- Work to project specifications and timelines, ensuring all work is completed on schedule.
- Ensure that all work complies with health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and team members to ensure the smooth running of the project.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a plasterer, preferably in the domestic or social housing sector.
- A valid CSCS card.
- Strong knowledge of different plastering techniques, including skimming, bonding, and rendering.
- Asbestos awareness.
- Manual handling.
- Working at height.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Basic DBS.
- Full UK driving license and own transport (preferred).
