Are you currently finishing your PGCE or Bachelors in Primary Education? Are you looking for some teaching experience before the Summer which could lead you to your dream role in September 2025?

Milk Education is working in partnership with a number of Primary Schools & Multi Academy Trusts across SouthTyneside, Gateshead and Sunderland who will be requiring short-term teaching cover through to the Summer which will open up opportunities for long-term or permanent positions!

We are already supporting Head Teachers in these schools with their teacher recruitment for September 2025 and are therefore recruiting Primary ECTs who are seeking their first teaching role to support their ECT years. We would also be interested in speaking to those who are interested in working on an ad-hoc, supply basis to gain varied teaching experience across a number of schools.

There will be part-time and full-time positions available in EYFS, KS1, and KS2, and the schools we work with pride themselves on their robust and thorough induction along with regular CPD. You will be given the guidance, support, and knowledge you need to assist you in your development as a newly qualified teacher.

If you are currently awaiting the award of your QTS, but have availability to undertake some work in schools after your final placement from, then the summer term is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to schools on a casual basis. Making a positive impression during the summer term can help with prospective roles for September as schools want to retain good candidates for the new academic year.
