The CompanyNigel Wright's Supply Chain and Procurement Team are currently working exclusively with a leading North East Manufacturing business to recruit a newly created Senior Indirect Buyer role.  The Client will support 4 days' on site working and 1 day working from home.The OpportunityReporting into the Head of Department and working within a collaborative team, the Senior Indirect Buyer will be responsible for:
  • Managing Indirect spend across multiple UK sites - FM, Hygiene, HR, Marketing, Professional Services, IT, Telecomms
  • Partnering with key senior stakeholders, reviewing and consolidating spend
  • Designing Category Strategy - Spend/supplier analysis, developing category business plans
  • Developing and implementing Procurement best practice policies and processes
  • Running tenders through to award and contract negotiation, - implementation
  • Supplier performance management/due diligence
About YouThe ideal Senior Indirect Buyer will have/be:
  • Proven strategic procurement track record within Indirect categories (in particular FM and/or TFM agreements beneficial)
  • Indirect Category management experience/contract management experience essential
  • Strong negotiation skills, cost analysis, commercially astute 
  • Experienced in negotiating agreements/SLAs, with a good understanding of contractual terms
  • Proactive, resilient, assertive, able to hit ground running 
  • Strengths in building relationships externally//internally - confident to challenge
  • Team player, flexible to changing priorities and able to work at pace
