The companyNigel Wright are working with in international food manufacturing business as they look to recruit an NPD manager for a 14 month fixed term contract. The roleDue to a period of maternity, we are looking to hire a NPD Project Manager who can be responsible for managing the on-going development activity for the business, including new product & process development, generation of product specs and effective communication within the business key stakeholders. Success in this role will involve:
  • Assigning projects and developing project timelines, ensuring team members are hitting deadlines and project is progressing to launch timings.
  • Planing, organising and executing line trials in order to transfer new product concepts into production. Ensuring shelf life validation prior to final customer approval.
  • Full understanding of product costings, to allow effective management of budgets.
  • Utilising gate process to ensure full project management from ideation to launch.
  • Management, coaching and development of the NPD team, ensuring their continued development.
The personWe are ideally looking for someone who has a mindset of continuous improvement, whilst ensuring innovation is market leading. Someone who can prioritise projects, with a full understanding of the commercial impact on the business. Previous experience working in, and managing the ND function.Please note this is a fixed term contract
