Design and Technology Teacher

Your new companyWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join a secondary school located near Sunderland. For this job, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching within the Design and Technology department, with a focus on woodwork. If you are passionate about teaching Design and Technology, with a particular emphasis on woodwork, and have the relevant qualifications and experience, we would love to hear from you!Your new role- Delivering high-quality teaching to students in Design and Technology, with a particular emphasis on woodwork.- Planning and preparing schemes of work and lessons that meet the needs of individual students.- Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.- Organising and participating in extracurricular activities, such as clubs and competitions.- Contributing to the overall ethos, work, and aims of the school.What you'll need to succeed- A degree in Design and Technology or a related field.- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).- Proven experience as a Design and Technology Teacher, with a particular emphasis on woodwork.- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.- The ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.- Experience of working with students of different abilities and backgrounds.- The ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.What you'll get in return- £150 - £251 - paid to scale - Monday - Friday - Full time- ASAP until December with possible extension - Located near Sunderland What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
