A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Sunderland. GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher who can inspire and engage students to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities as a English Teacher:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons to secondary students.
• Plan, prepare, and assess work according to the curriculum.
• Support students with varying abilities, ensuring their learning needs are met.
• Maintain discipline and encourage positive behaviour in the classroom.
• Foster a love for literature, language, and learning in students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment.

To be a successful English Teacher, you need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English across various key stages.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to teaching and learning.
• Ability to engage students and adapt teaching to meet their needs.

• Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
