We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team supporting venerable people across the City of Sunderland. (CANDIDATES MUST HOLD A DRIVING LICENCE)

We are looking to recruit for 4 x Overnight and 2 x Days positions.

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily activities, offer emotional support, and ensure the well-being of those under your care.

Responsibilities:Visiting customers in their own homes who may require care following a period on hospital or a decline in their well being. Visits are for a time limited period and assist to set goals to promote independence and confidence.

Skills:- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.- Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures.- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.- Ability to provide compassionate care with empathy and respect.- Proficiency in first aid techniques and basic medical procedures.- Familiarity with behavior management techniques for diverse populations.- Understanding of hospice care principles for end-of-life support.- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.- Valid driver's license if driving is required for the role.
