Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher eager to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs?
We are recruiting on behalf of an SEMH specialist school in Sunderland and are looking for a compassionate , highly skilled and empathetic SEN Teacher experienced in Additional Needs Teaching . As an SEN Teacher, you will be integral to ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the tailored support they need to succeed.

Duties include

  1. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and provide insightful feedback to parents and colleagues to support their academic growth.
  2. Planning and preparing lessons of the highest standards
  3. Emotional Support: Foster a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional guidance and encouragement to students in need.
  4. Communication: Ensure effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each students educational journey.
  5. Inclusion: Advocate for inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with special educational needs feel a sense of belonging and support.
  6. Management and direction of a team on support assistants within your classroom

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as an SEN Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A UK recognised Teaching qualification
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with special educational needs succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
  • A fully checkable work history
  • Availability Monday- Friday 8.30-4.30 for at least two full terms
