Position: Speech & Language TherapistLocation: SunderlandType: Term-time, Full-Time (37 hours per week)Salary: £36,507 - £44,103 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Halcyon Health and Social Care North West is excited to collaborate with a prestigious school in the heart of Ormskirk to find a dedicated and experienced Speech & Language Therapist. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children while working within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify the speech and language needs of students.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
  • Provide guidance and training to school staff to support communication strategies within the classroom.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as necessary.
  • Stay updated on relevant research, techniques, and best practices in speech and language therapy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified Speech & Language Therapist with a relevant degree and registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, particularly within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A collaborative team player who can build effective partnerships with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
