We're seeking motivated Converting Operatives to join our busy production team at a leading global packaging supplier based in Sunderland. If you're looking for a role where you can contribute to high-quality production and grow within a supportive team, this is the opportunity for you!

Shift Pattern:
Continental Shift: 4 days on, 4 days off / 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am

Hourly Rate:
12.60 - 14.57 per hour, plus overtime rates

Duration:
Temp to perm

Role Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently operate converting machinery (slitters, laminators) to ensure smooth production
  • Handle and move reels using appropriate lifting equipment
  • Ensure quality control by monitoring production and resolving any flagged issues
  • Conduct regular checks to meet production specifications (glue weights, slitting tolerances)
  • Record production data accurately and maintain traceability
  • Complete required paperwork and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Support job changeovers and follow line clearance procedures

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and flexible with excellent timekeeping
  • Positive attitude with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • IT literate, with experience in production data input
  • Previous experience in the print or packaging industry is desirable
