Opportunity for a maintenance technician to join a leading business and improve equipment maintenance across two sites. Salary of up to £40,000, plus a car allowance of £3,500, 5% pension, healthcare and 25 + 8 holidays. Working days Monday to Friday.

As the maintenance technician, you will work across two sites, repairing equipment; detailed responsibilities include:-
- Repair, adjust, and maintain equipment (i.e. shear balers, excavator scissors, machine handlers, machine scrap grabs, conveyors, material feeders, shovel loaders) to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications.
- Respond to emergencies, break-downs, malfunctions, and other operating problems and diagnose faults to minimise disruptions.
- Implement an established maintenance programme and maintain detailed maintenance records so that recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts can be identified and addressed.
- Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate repair requests.
- Oversee contractors and ensure work is carried out to the required standards.
- Support with planning and scheduling maintenance activities (for example, planned maintenance programmes, shut-downs, or emergency repairs).
- Fabrication and welding of machine components.
- Support with the development and implementation of repair and maintenance procedures.
- Slinging and carrying out lifting operations as required.
- Work safely and have a proactive approach to all health & safety and environmental issues.

- Experience working as a maintenance technician, ideally in heavy industry.
- Must have an NVQ Level 3 or higher.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Welding experience.
- Willingness to travel to Rotherham around 20% of the time.
