Part-Time Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger/Subcontractor Clerk

Surbiton (Office Based)

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Surbiton on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our subcontractor and purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy in processing invoices, timesheets, and maintaining comprehensive financial records. This role will cover 21 hours per week either 3 full days or shorter days over a longer duration.

Responsibilities:

- Efficiently process subcontractor timesheets and invoices.

- Code and post invoices to the accounting system, Evolution.

- Supplier statement reconciliation.

- Maintain and update the purchase ledger with precision.

- Collect timesheets weekly and collate for payroll purposes

- Perform data entry tasks with a strong focus on accuracy.

- Utilise Excel to manage and analyse financial data.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a similar role.

- Experience of working in the construction industry is highly desirable (including subcontractors)

- Proficient in Excel and other accounting software, Evolution is preferred but not essential

- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
