Deputy manager/assistant manager/Third in charge:
Within this role we are looking for someone who has good knowledge on the EYFS, Statutory framework along with the Early Year Curriculum. We are looking for someone to be leading and supporting the Room Leaders to deliver a varied and exciting educational experience for the children in your care, and to train and mentor all staff in the preschool.
You will be responsible for supporting and leading the Room Leaders in regularly reviewing the resources, and routine with the staff, drawing on individual strengths and creating a positive and stimulating learning environment. You will be responsible for training the staff and liaising with the manager with regards to what needs to be implemented within the rooms. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the rooms are fully compliant with the statutory framework and legal requirements, and teaching and learning is to a high standard.
The Preschool caters for children ages 2-5 years old. Our staff make the most of the rural location of the nursery and all the children have daily outdoor play opportunities in the fresh air. We believe it is essential to optimise the beautiful rural area around us, to ensure the children can not only have fun but simultaneously learn about the environment.
The ideal candidate will have early years experience, excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be an inspirational leader. :)
We are open between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, all year round. We are ideally looking for someone who can work 4 or 5 days per week between 8 and 6, but we appreciate work life balance so happy to discuss part time options.
