Senior Credit Controller

  • Job Type: Full-time- 37.5 hours a week – Permanent role, 100% office based (1 day work from home after an initial 6- month probation)

We are looking for an Experienced Senior Credit Controller to join our dynamic Finance team in Surbiton. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting company that has been setting industry standards for over 30 years.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Proactively contact brokers and clients to ensure timely payment of approaching and overdue invoices.
  • Oversee global debtors to eliminate overdue debt and ensure compliance with company credit policy.
  • Liaise with the legal department to address cases where commitments to pay have not been honoured.
  • Produce weekly Management Information (MI) to track and report on debt collection progress.
  • Conduct broker training sessions to align practices with debt collection standards.
  • Manage and develop a Credit Controller, fostering a high-performance culture within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in debt collection within a sales, insurance or recruitment organisation, ideally across multiple geographies.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both internal brokers and external clients.
  • Demonstrated resilience and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
