Nursery Preschool Deputy Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity for an existing experienced deputy manager or a Third in charge/ experienced room lead who is looking to take the next step in their career, to assist with the daily managerial duties and lead our lovely 48 place preschool.
The nursery caters for children ages 2-5 years old. Our staff make the most of the rural location of the nursery and all the children have daily outdoor play opportunities in the fresh air. We believe it is essential to optimise the beautiful rural area around us, to ensure the children can not only have fun but simultaneously learn about the environment and how we can make greener choices.
The ideal candidate will have early years experience, excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be an inspirational leader.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of leading and motivating teams (ideal)
- Experience with early years 2+
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working within Nursery / Early Years setting.
- Qualified to Level 3 or above in childcare / Early Years
The Nursery / Preschool Deputy Managers key responsibilities:
- Responsibility for assisting with the daily running of the nursery / preschool
- Partnership working with parents
- Leading and developing teamwork.
- Working with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages) Curriculum, care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs
- Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child’s individual development in a stimulating atmosphere
- Ensuring developmental records and observations are kept.
- Maintaining staff ratios.
The role is ideally full time working 4 or 5 days per week, but part time hours can be discussed as we appreciate a work life balance. :)
Salary is negotiable, based on experience and qualifications and hours.
