Nursery Practitioner and Senior Room Leader

Option for either a Practitioner /Senior Practitioner or a Room leader

Level 2 or 3 qualified + All senior staff must hold level 3 or higher.

Part time or full time hours.

We are currently recruiting a Nursery pre school Practitioner and Senior Room leader staff for our our beautiful, forward-thinking children’s day nursery and preschool in Surbiton. We cater for children from 2- 5 years with two dedicated preschool rooms.

We are seeking individuals who can promote high quality care in a stimulating, rich learning environment which offers wonderful opportunities for all ages of children from 2 -5 years.

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children's needs.
  • Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
  • Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.

The ideal candidate will;

  • Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
  • Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
  • Be qualified to NVQ level 2 / 3 or equivalent (Higher) in Early years childcare.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stages
