Portfolio Procurement is seeking an experienced Buyer for a client located in the Surrey/SW London Borders area.
The role offers a competitive salary along with excellent benefits, including a bonus and hybrid working arrangement of 2 days in the office per week.
Key responsibilities include sourcing products from the Far East and Europe, managing quality control, and negotiating prices and payment terms with suppliers.
Candidates should possess strong negotiation skills, time management abilities, and knowledge of European and Far East shipping and buying processes.
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is required for this position.

Portfolio Procurement are recruiting for an experienced Buyer for our client based in Surrey/SW London Borders. This role comes with excellent benefits including a Bonus and Hybrid working (2 days a week in Office).

The Role

Sourcing products from Far East & Europe
Assist with Quality Control and Logistics (importing, customs)
Arrange and manage testing and inspections
Proactively manage costs
Utilise skills to negotiate best prices / payment terms / deals from suppliers.
Research, discuss and introduce new suppliers on a regular basis.
Provide buying support on RFPs and global projects.

Experience :

Tenacious with a strong determination to succeed
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of European and Far East shipping & Buying processes
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Strong IT skills with experience in using Microsoft Office
