Join a market leader in Creative & Technical Design who are looking for a Client Ledger and Credit Control Assistant to contribute to the smooth running of the finance department. This role is ideal for someone who is positive, respectful, organised, and possesses exceptional people skills.
Day-to-day of the role:- Issue and post invoices to the client ledger and issue statements to clients.
- Manage and update credit limits for clients on Sage.
- Monitor overdue balances and correspond with clients to chase these balances and answer any invoice queries.
- Support the Accounts Manager and Finance Director in producing ad hoc reports and financial information.
- Manage client onboarding processes including credit checks and Sage ledger setup.
- Audit draft invoices to ensure they meet all necessary criteria including application of VAT, nominal ledger details, and purchase orders.
- Maintain client files and support the Accounts Manager with other financial tasks as necessary.
- Occasionally work on additional bespoke projects outside of daily duties to encourage and broaden individual skills and ambitions.
- Experience with client ledgers, specifically in credit control, issuing client invoices, and answering client invoice queries.
- Experience with Sage Line 50 is an advantage.
- Ideally AAT qualifications or similar.
- Highly numerate with excellent time management and customer service skills.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Persistence and determination with excellent organisational skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to provide practical support where necessary.
- Good Excel and MS Office knowledge and practical experience.
- A quick learner with a positive approach.
