Location: Surbiton, Greater London
Salary: 24,000 - 26,000 per annum (Actual, term-time only)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (39 weeks per year, term time only)
T4S Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Science and Art/DT Technician on behalf of a reputable independent school in Surbiton, Greater London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and innovative team, assisting the Heads of Department in coordinating practical resources and ensuring the efficient running of day-to-day lessons and co-curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities for Science, Art, and DT.
- Provide assistance and advice to meet the practical needs of the departments.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of equipment for lessons and activities.
- Ensure adherence to CLEAPSS and health and safety guidelines in laboratories and Art/DT studios.
- Assist with the general upkeep of classrooms, studios, and preparation areas.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Lab/Science Technician in a school setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices in a school environment.
- Familiarity with CLEAPSS guidelines and health and safety protocols for laboratories.
- Understanding of laboratory and/or Art/DT equipment usage.
- Willingness to undergo training if not experienced in Art/DT disciplines.
