Financial Reporting & Operations Controller
  • Location: Birmingham - Hybrid

  • Annual Salary: Up to £85,000 plus car allowance

We are seeking a Financial Reporting & Operations Controller to lead our iconic clients financial reporting and accounting operations in the UK & Ireland. This role involves executing strategies, driving business growth, and upholding both UK and US GAAP standards. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Ensure the integrity and timely delivery of regulatory and statutory reporting under UK GAAP, Irish GAAP, and internal reporting under US GAAP.
  • Oversee period-end close activities and collaborate cross-functionally with business partners.
  • Own cash management practices and policies, ensuring effective transaction and reconciliation processes.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls and finance practices in line with local and US standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Manage department budget and value creation for projects within direct scope, including cash, general ledger, fixed assets, and reporting.
  • Act as a mentor and coach, supporting development and career progression within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (ICAEW/ACCA/ICAS) with in-depth knowledge and technical expertise in Finance & Accounting.
  • Proven experience in managing large teams and leading both transactional & professional Finance teams.
  • Proficiency in preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP or IFRS.
