Salary: Between £22,000 to £30,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience) with the addition of a company vehicle.

Working Hours: 40 Hours Plus overtime and occasional Saturdays.

Based in Sutton Coldfield, they supply and install a wide range of products from budget to top quality equipment for private, corporate (fleet), cars, motorhomes, vans, and HGVs.

As they are ever expanding, they need to recruit an experienced Auto Electrical Technician to join their team and ensure business continuity as well as optimising customer service.

Key Duties (But not limited too):

working alongside our Head Auto Electrician installing all vehicle accessories and troubleshooting

you will be working on our site or on business premises adhering to processes and Health & Safety Regulations

maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and our customers, from single vehicles to a fleet of corporate vehicles

to support and deliver the high quality of service provision that Retrofit has established for over 40 years

provide an effective and high-quality diagnostic as well as fault finding relating to product installations

provide support to our Head Auto Electrician as and when required

working flexibly as a member of the team, providing cover where need demands

assist in the promotion of the business at various auto mechanical and electrical events

show enthusiasm and positive working attitude when dealing with customers

to meet the needs of business hours which is covered from 09:00 to 17.15, including evenings and weekends

support other members of the team in their normal course of duties

The successful candidate must have experience or knowledge of installing a range of product services such like:

  • 12-volt electrics
  • Tracking: stolen vehicle recovery & fleet management.
  • Immobilisers.
  • Van Deadlocks & Slamlocks.
  • Parking Sensors, reversing cameras etc.
  • Alarm Systems for LCVs & HGVs.

Towbars.

Candidate Requirements:

At least 2 years experience in the auto electrician environment.

Knowledge of market product would be a distinctive advantage.

GCSE level qualified including Math and English.

Relevant experience in the vehicle installations and security locks.

Relevant experience of installing, repairing, and troubleshooting any of the service provision as outlined in the job role.

Understanding of circuits and wiring diagrams.

Relevant experience diagnostic and fault finding.

Excellent time keeping and management.

Customer facing role.

You must hold a full UK Driving Licence with no endorsements.

Methodical and accuracy in recording information.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including friendly telephone manner.

Willingness to be flexible in the actual hours worked when the need arises.

Must demonstrate a willingness to undertake training in support of the role where need demands.
