Overview:

A leading nationwide house builder is seeking a meticulous and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team in Derby. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and attention to detail. Flexible working hours are available, making it perfect for individuals needing a work-life balance. The role offers 16-24 hours per week, with flexibility to work around school runs or condense hours into fewer days. Key Responsibilities:


  • Process and input purchase invoices into the system accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end procedures, ensuring all purchase ledger data is up to date.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries and outstanding balances.
  • Support the finance team with general administrative duties as needed.

  • Key Criteria:


  • Previous experience working in a purchase ledger role is essential.
  • Familiarity with COINS or similar accounting software is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
