An exciting opportunity as arisen with our client. Due to major investment and expansion into new plant and equipment alongside current and future expansion plans, Triangle Recruitment, working in partnership with Coltman Pre-Cast, now part of Ibstock PLC, are looking for Steel Fixers to work in a busy manufacturing environment producing Cast Stone Products, working to Production Targets, on a Day Shift Pattern of 07:00 - 15:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 - 13:00 on Friday, working 40 Hours per week, on an ongoing basis. Overtime is available as and when required. Immediate starts available for suitable candidates. Potential for role to become Permanent
Ideal experience working with Pre-Cast, Full training is given to the right Candidates. Full PPE and Workwear is provided.
Pay rate: Starting £16.62ph
Hours: Monday - Friday between 06:00am-17:00pm (8 Hour Shifts)
Duties include:
- As a Steel fixer, you will assemble steel and rebar it into cages or mats as per the design requirements. These assemblies are then placed within the formwork before the concrete is poured.
- Steel fixers must be adaptable to modifications in plans or specifications. This requires good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Working as a Steel Fixer, you will use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal components.
- A Steel fixer must be able to interpret construction drawings and plans to understand the placement of work within the concrete structures.
