Delivery Driver

FT Recruitment are recruiting for a 7.5t/ flat bed driver to join our team,

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time while adhering to safety regulations.

Duties

• Operate a delivery van or lorry to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload items, ensuring safe handling of products during transit.
• Communicate effectively with customers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and receipts.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Assist in the warehouse as needed, including organising stock and preparing items for delivery.

Requirements

• Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required for loading and unloading goods.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety in all driving activities.
