Experienced Primary School Lunchtime Supervisor

Location: Sutton Coldfield

Are you passionate about creating a positive and nurturing environment for children? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Primary School Lunchtime Supervisor in Sutton Coldfield. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the well-being and safety of students during lunch breaks, the role will also entail assisting children with SEN needs during the lunch period and may extend into the classroom, therefore SEN Teaching Assistant experience is desirable. The school has a zero-tolerance policy for unauthorised absences and therefore the successful candidate will be able to provide a track-record of commitment and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support children during lunchtime activities, including supporting those with Special Educational Needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage a friendly atmosphere.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Assist with the implementation of school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Full working history with the ability to provide employment references covering the past 3 years.
  • Experience working as a Lunchtime Supervisor and working with children with Special Educational Needs, classroom-based experience with SEN is desired.
  • Enhanced Child only DBS check is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Passion for creating a positive and inclusive school environment.

Working Hours: Vary between 11:00 - 13:30 (Monday to Friday) with potential of extending into the classroom

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
