Customer Sales & Retention Consultant

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent - 38.75 hours per week (Shift work with 1 in every 4 Saturdays)

Location: Head Office, Birmingham

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (OTE - On Target Earnings)

Due to expansion in the business, we're looking for fantastic Customer Sales & Retention Consultants, who want to provide a world-class service to all our customers by phone & e-mail. With care and empathy, you could become part of the solution to such important needs.

What your day-to-day will look like…

  • Respond to inbound calls from potential customers inquiring about Dignity’s services, adapting your approach to align with each customer’s unique needs and circumstances.
  • Proactively reach out to potential or existing customers to introduce our offerings, and generate interest.
  • Stay up to date with Dignity’s product offerings, services, and procedures by attending regular training sessions and briefings.
  • Working 5 days a week on a rota basis including some evenings and weekends
  • Work on a mandatory script to follow FCA guidelines.
  • Provide clear, concise, and prompt information to potential members in a way that will follow a TCF approach.

What we are looking for…

  • Previous sales experience would be an advantage, preferably in a contact centre environment.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.
  • Sales or lead generation experience is advantageous, particularly in roles involving direct customer engagement or consultative selling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and deliver high-quality service.
  • Knowledge of or experience with TCF principles and handling vulnerable customers is preferred.
  • A flexible team player, you’ll be able to demonstrate a can-do attitude and the ability to use your own initiative, whilst sharing in the successes of others
